This presentation is to share editorial information with Chinese authors who are interested in publishing papers in the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery (PWRD). The presentation will cover topics such as the paper review process, acceptance rate, plagiarism check, and decision appeal. It will also discuss a few approaches that will help authors to improve their paper acceptance rate. Finally, a PWRD paper review scheme that can greatly help research work and paper writing will be explained.Some of the information of this presentation is also applicable for other IEEE Transactions of the IEEE Power Engineering Society.
Biography:
The presenter, Dr. Wilsun Xu, is currently a chair professor in the University of Alberta, Canada. He obtained B.Eng. from China (Xian Jiaotong University) in 1982, M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Canada in 1985 and 1989 respectively.Dr. Xu worked as an electrical engineer in Canadian power industry for 7 years before joined the University of Alberta as a faculty member in 1996.Dr. Xu was elected to IEEE Fellow in 2005 and a Fellow of Engineering Institute of Canada in 2006. Since 2008, Dr. Xu has been holding the position of Senior Industrial Research Chair in Power Quality awarded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. He is currently a board member of the Alberta Power Industry Consortium, Alberta, Canada.
